I think this blows up the P2 or bust argument. Just joining a P2 conference accomplishes nothing. The earnings range over 2X top to bottom. If you want to improve upon your position in the ACC by moving, you need to
end up in the top 1/3 of your target conference. Good luck with that.
If VT stays in the ACC and can regain its top 3 position in football, they will be in the ideal position.
I also had no idea that ND was top 3 in revenues. No wonder you don’t want to join a conference. You would be crazy to do so. Although I do have to point out that your independence argument is clearly propaganda. This isn’t about philosophy. It’s all about the $$$$.
