If or/and when FSU & Clemson leave the ACC...

I feel that South Florida will replace FSU and the ACC adds UConn (to further strengthen ACC men's basketball). Similar to when UConn joined the Big East for football, that period will also be short-lived in the ACC as 6 to 8 members leave for greener pastures and UConn will once again be in a conference that gradually fell apart (BEFC). It may just be wise for UConn to remain in the Big East since there's no guarantee the ACC will help them football-wise if the conference loses all of its bigger brands and football-first schools. Maybe the Big 12 would be a better move? This all depends if the ACC can remain somewhat stable if or/and when Clemson and FSU eventually depart. I guess Tulane, Memphis, San Diego State and maybe even Rice would be other ACC options?
