He’s flaming IMHO, but to cut costs. If ESPN doesn’t have to pay FSU & CU,

that will cut costs to them, if they can renegotiate and lower the payout to those remaining in the ACC, like they did with the B12 they can save cost. Remember they aren’t paying for B12 basketball anymore, just B12 football. Many think about more revenue, but bean counters love to cut cost.That’s how they get raises/make more profit for the firm.
