well, TBF, in the 90s, 12 was the magic number...

look, I'm not arguing with you, but never put a cap on the greed of these leagues (league commissioners are obsessed with growth). if it were up to me, we would have a dozen 7 team leagues playing 6 game conference schedules and 6 non conf games with a 6 home game cap followed by a 16 team playoff with 12 league champs and 4 at larges played at home sites for every round other than the final. but no one cares what I think...
