Could it be that when they go around the room (or phone) FSU, CLEM, and UNC

and NCSU were the first four to say no. Once reaching 4 No, would there be any need to continue around the room? Maybe, this happened a few times (i.e., multiple votes) with other schools (beside FSU and CLEM, who seem to be constants) being among the first 4 to say no. Maybe this has led to the conflicting stories.
