disparate state laws. Restrictive laws in some states will push the talent to less restrictive locations. The NCAA may be capable of regulating small Div II and Div III activity but it is no longer adequate to manage major college athletics. We need a professional, for-profit corporation as the umbrella organization over major college sports. The business should be jointly owned by the member schools who wish to invest, and available to others who wish to subscribe to services. Regulating NIL, agents, recruiting, and endless other needed services can be better managed by professionals (not a description often applied to the NCAA). They could regulate, train, and assign game officials for all events. They could offer scheduling and travel services in a way that allows "ride-sharing" among schools. There is so much angst about increased travel, but it can be managed into a non-problem. Consider any aspect of college sports that you think is a headache/problem and ask if a central organization could solve it.
