That’s exactly what popped in my head, this is a defensive move in case

they lose Colorado. So you probably have the two, to replace USC and UCLA in San Diego State and SMU. Then you have others in case they lose either the 4 Corners or Oregon and Washington. Either way, they are playing some big time Defense, instead of the way they will sell it, which is, this is big time offense.
