Either way, in a 24-team playoff, the regular season will be watered down.
But in general, I'd like to see rivalry games spread out, even if they stay at 12.
And I would have no problem if UVa-VT became the pioneers here and moved their game to week 1. Would be a great way to gain national attention for the rivalry. Would give juice to the pre-season as well.
