The rule next year protects them
The ACC needs to fix their tiebreaker rule and even their standing rule. UVA didn't play Miami, Pitt, GT, Clemson or SMU. Lost to crappy NC State (but that didn't count).
I'd rather the top 2 ranked teams play absent a head to head tiebreaker.
