Am I the only one here who’s optimistic about the ACC’s

prospects for the first time since Md bolted? Much has already been made about the expanded playoffs. If we’re now becoming “PSU 2.0”, what does that mean for league perception particularly with adding another conference game to the schedule? We have other schools aggressively moving to lock down their coaches as a sign to their intentions to get and stay competitive. We also brought in SMU with their deep pockets and they immediately made their presence known. At the same time, the B1G is melting down over the PE issue. Without question the landscape continues to change. It’s just not as bad a view from the current perch as it used to be.

If I were the Big-10, the two teams I would be looking at

Good grief...are people here still romanticizing AAU status?**

The ACC has a good chance of surviving
VT ChemE 1986 12/06/25 11:35 AM ET
The B1G is hardly "melting down" over that PE deal.**
Pylons 12/05/25 02:46 PM ET
Well they haven’t gone litigious yet like we did; but

One Michigan board member suggested they *could consider* leaving the B1G
Pylons 12/05/25 08:52 PM ET
Respectfully, I wouldn’t trivialize the situation (link)

I'm not trying to trivialize the situation.
Pylons 12/05/25 10:42 PM ET
Yeah, this isn’t much of a blip on their radar. **

And cultural fit means what and is important in a sports league why?**
Pylons 12/04/25 08:37 PM ET
I dunno, fit seems to work for the SEC

The issue isn't culture......

UVa to the B1G would be good for VT. Probably means the SEC would come

I'm still having buyer's remorse re Cal & Sanford.**
Atlee Hokie 12/05/25 10:53 PM ET
You and a lot of others too.**
RJHokie 12/05/25 10:54 PM ET
Especially if the expansion gives the ACC 3-4 playoff spots as rumored
mrcaniac 12/04/25 06:41 PM ET
Miami & UVa to B10 and UNC & VT to SEC would be a dream scenario
RandomAsianGuy 12/04/25 05:02 PM ET
I'd take that, but w/ ESPN & Fox back to competing, UNC UVA B10 VT NCSU SEC
Stech 12/04/25 06:02 PM ET
Can't imagine that NCSU will be invited to either......
CrystalCoveHokie 12/04/25 08:17 PM ET
That's one way to look at it, but not the only way, NCSU owns UNC in ftbll,
Stech 12/04/25 08:29 PM ET
There are just not many valuable schools out there for the P2.
RandomAsianGuy 12/04/25 06:14 PM ET
And will either of the P2's cull interior dead weight.**
Atlee Hokie 12/05/25 10:58 PM ET
Maye, but a lot has changed in the last 3 weeks. That said, you can win NC
Stech 12/04/25 08:21 PM ET
I actually agree with you if
Big12 guy 12/04/25 08:08 PM ET
If VT were invited to SEC, I wouldn't give a hoot what else happened.**

But, where is the
Big12 guy 12/06/25 09:21 AM ET
To me Louisville is the wild card in the ACC, I could see them in the B12,
Stech 12/04/25 08:25 PM ET
Ya, I don't know. The PAC would
Big12 guy 12/05/25 08:40 AM ET
If a handful of schools leave the 17 team ACC, it won’t be the new PAC, 🏀
Stech 12/05/25 02:47 PM ET
Miami and UNC would be my guess.
