ACC remnants might agree to this is if ESPN guaranteed the contract thru 36

If 4 schools leave, that's $300M split 13.333 ways over 6 years. (ND is the .3333) That's added $$ of $3.75M per year. If ESPN guaranteed the ACC contract through 2036, its decent money if you're OK with the possibility of complete irrelevance in less than a decade. If 10 schools leave (SEC, B1G and B12 go to 20 each, taking the Mag7 + GT, Pitt and Louisville), then that is $750M split 7.3333 ways over 6 years. That would be $17M per year over 6 years for Duke, Wake, BC, Syracuse, Stanford, Cal, SMU and ND to build whatever hoops conference they could. (I'm assuming the new ACC adds UConn and USF to get to 9 football members and 10 hoops teams.)
