but the reason the SEC is such a "ratings machine" is because their games are broadcast in the most prime spots on the most prime channels, including free OTA broadcast on ABC. It's absolutely insane to put Tennessee vs. Arkansas at noon on ABC, and also put FSU vs. Miami on ESPN2 in the same time-slot, and then try to trumpet about how many more people watched Tennessee-Arkansas. Of course they did, it was on free OTA ABC, while the ACC game was buried on ESPN2. I consistently am amazed at how the SEC propaganda machine is always running at 300%, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to convince everyone that 3 loss SEC teams are always going to be better (and thus worth paying more $$$$$$$$$) than 1 loss teams from other conferences. This system is untenable.
