I agree. I would rather see the athletic programs shrink

than be a part of this fiasco. VT is a university and its athletic programs should only exist to enhance to student experience. My son just graduated from UC Santa Cruz. They have essentially no athletic program and an enrollment of 19,000 students and are ranked as the 40th top public school in the country.
