Would love to see it played out nationally or perhaps semi-nationally or regionally. It would create far more TV interest. I think with an 18-team conference (like the ACC) it might be difficult, but I still like the idea. I think this would be an even better idea if it involved a merger with the BigXII. If you have a loaded round-robin top tier, is there a reason to still have a championship game? I say no. But how much money will be left of the table by not having one? I'd rather just play an extra conference game (and have an extra team in the top tier). Problem is, that people who would be making the decision about this are both RISK-ADVERSE (they are too afraid to do it) and ENTITLED (every school thinks they deserve headliner money).
