There is no viable exit strategy for either party.

The Big 12 can’t “go public” can it? Once they do this there is no going back. The PE firm can only sell to another PE firm which isn’t going to happen if the first firm realizes the lions share of the upside. This is a disaster for all parties waiting to happen.
