Easiest option is to go a la carte with all this
Give athletes options to choose from that suit their goals financially and academically
- Guaranteed employee salary only
- Hybrid employee with lower salary and lower NIL
- Contractor with NIL only
- Full time student with all classes books and housing paid for as employee
- Part time student (min 2 classes a semester) with everything paid for as employee
- Contractor covers all their own student costs but does have to take at least one class
- guaranteed lifetime scholarship that athletes can use whenever they want. Could be a few classes at a time spread over years.
Or any combination of things. This is an opportunity to be creative and break from the old mold.
