I would have thought that the politicians and courts would have been much
more deeply involved by now. But after we watched the SEC skim off the top of the BigXII and the B1G do the same to the Pac-12...this all went down with little more than a whimper (a little Calimony, that's about it).
And I've got to tell ya, I'm a little surprised about it to be honest. I do think the feds have the legitimate power to regulate all of this under the interstate commerce clause. I see college athletics as basically rudderless at this time and it is long past due for a governing authority to right the ship. That being said, without getting too political here, I don't really have the confidence that the feds as an institution wise enough to fix it. And I think they know this, and that's why they are staying out of it.
For my money, I'd just make Josh Pate the commissioner, and grant him dictatorial powers to fix college sports and particularly college football. I would pay him one dollar more than that dope NFL commissioner for his troubles. But I suspect that Josh would work for free.

Any chance Congress gets involved in this before? It goes too far? There
