Hokie Golf Preview - Week 40
Trevor Cone is back for his 2nd PGA Tour start at the Sanderson Farms Championship in Jackson, MS after missing his cut two weeks ago.
Sarit Suwannarut is 2nd after the 1st round of the Mercuries Taiwan Masters at the Taiwan Golf and Country Club, backing up his 22nd place finish last week. He is currently #64 on the Asian Order or Merit entering the week.
Emily Mahar is in Tuscaloosa for a new event on the Epson Tour this week. She missed the cut last week, but did get a hole in one on #7 at Mystic Creek Golf Club in last week's event. She is currently #125 in the points this week.
There are no Hokies playing the 3 final Korn Ferry Qualifying Tournaments this week. Round 2 will start in two weeks.

This is Cone's first cash on the PGA tour, and Sarit's best money finish on the Asian Tour, moving up to #33 and solidifying his card for next year.
Cone moves up 18 spots to a career best #423 and Suwannarut moves up 56 spots to #878.
