Hokie Golf Preview - Week 32
The Korn Ferry Tour is back after a week off for the final 2 events of the regular season. This week Trevor Cone is playing the Utah Championships and is #27 on the money list. In four attempts at Oakridge Country Club, Cone has 3 top 25's and a missed cut, with his best finish being a 14th in 2019. Next week's event has double points, so big moves can happen these last two weeks. Both events and the final 3 playoff events will all be televised on the Golf Channel.
Scott Vincent is back in Japan this week for the Japan PGA Championships, one of their four majors. I've linked the JGTO preview article about Vincent below.
Emily Mahar is back on the Epson Tour at the French Lick Charity Classic at the Pete Dye Course at French Lick. She is currently #125 on the points list, needing top 70 to keep her card with about 8 events to go.

Trevor Cone was the big winner this week. His tie for 5th, cashed him $24,225, and moved him to #20 in the race for 25 to get a PGA Tour card. The tour will put something more detailed out later in the week, but a golfer would have to be 20th or higher next week to jump him. Making the cut this week should punch his ticket. He also received 2.6 world points, which has moved him to a career best #433.
Scott Vincent got back on track with a T7 in Japan. As Hokie '79 stated below it was good for Y4,421,250 or $32.754. He has moved to #14 on the Japan Money List. He also received 2.52 world points, which has now moved him to #83 in the world, 8 spots higher than when he joined LIV. He has benefited from playing well in non-LIV events, while some LIV participants are dropping below him as their points gradually roll off the ranking. He will get to play with his brother, Kieran at the LIV-funded, international series event this week in Singapore, which is part of the Asian Tour.
Emily Mahar finished T60, earning $1,254. She is now #122 on their money list with 7 tournaments to go.

Everyone who makes the cut will get points, but this week Cone and Vincent would have scored anyway.
