The man is a great coach and is a brilliant breast stroke coach. Look at the huge jump Eli Martin made this year. To finish 11th after losing Carlos and Youssef is quite impressive. With the limited roster now, just a few impact swimmers can make a huge swing on this team. I still have to believe that the location of the pool does not help recruiting. My daughter was recruited by WVU, and it was a hard no driving that far to a pool every day. She was vindicated when a club teammate who went there was in a wreck on the way to their nat. The location also doesn't get butts in the stands. We went to Charlottesville to see VT and Uva a few years ago, and Uva packed the place and it was incredibly loud and a lot of fun. They had a DJ. Anyway, Sergio is a great coach. There is a reason several Olympic teams have hired him to coach their teams. I hope somehow some money trickles to him to recruit a stronger lineup.
