Honda coin flip: coolant flush or brake fluid change?
A. Not sure I’d know if my brake fluid was in need of changing, based on recent brake pad job. Chose not to do fluid at that time. Brakes work grate - not mushy, no fade. 2. Also unaware of what sustained high wx temperatures have on engine coolant. So coolant won the toss and will defend the south goal.

Don't forget the blinker fluid servicing

Generally brake fluid flush every ~3 years, and coolant exchange every...
...5-8 years.

WTH does that have too do with my Honda Accord? "Generally, my butt."

Did you use the blue antifreeze for Hondas?
I have the the same project coming up for my pilot, oil change and change part of the transmission fluid as well.

Inquiring minds ... my coolant WAS blue!
OEM Type-2 Anti Freeze/Coolant - 1 Gallon by Honda Honda Genuine Longlife Blue Antifreeze/Coolant provides long-term corrosion protection to all metal and non-metal parts of your Hondas cooling system and protects against boil over and freezing.

Surprised it didn't come with pink coolant.
That's what Honda (and Toyota) are using in their newer models.

Oh, just rub it in. Mine isn't new.

Toyota switched to pink coolant in 2004, so it's been around a while.
PhotoHokieNC PhotoHokieNC OP
Well, let's face the truth: Toyota's always been a bit "pink".

I have no idea what color it is. Is it designer coolant?
What if my new coolant clashes with my silver Accord?
