FUBO TV or YouTube TV? suggestion for streaming TV service
cancelling my fios tv plan and going internet only but want to stream some tv for football season, which one would you go with?

No Clue
I have always heard FUBO for sports but I have YTTV and don't recall a
single instance of needing FUBO to see the sports I want to watch. That includes the major sports leagues.

I had YTTV but cancelled it because it's become expensive
I'm going to try the new ESPN streaming service when available.

How did it become expensive?

It legit started at $35/mo and is now $83/mo
The net gain on my end is somewhat negligible in terms of channels gained/lost and what I am interested in, but many more features have been added in that time. The price difference I mentioned is across 8 years.

It provided a full cable lineup of channels, and a significantly lower...
...price. Yeah, they were losing a lot of money when they started at $35/month, and now it's probably profitable.

There's been 1 price increase since I left DirecTV. And $83/month vs.
$214/month is why I switched. No boxes, no interference from weather and pretty much the same line-up from what I had. No brainer for me.

Oh yeah, I've had it that whole time, but when you start shelling out
$15/mo for Netflix, $19/mo for Disney/Hulu, baked in Prime Video cost, $12/mo for Paramount+ yada yada yada Most things become redundant and $83/mo for just sports is very expensive. ESPN will draw a decent amt of business away when they come out with their standalone model.

So, can you give me a channel lineup? I want out of VZ but not sure
how to compare apples to apples to keep pretty much everything I have.

Wow, thanks! I'm going to go through my VZ bill and compare it. Might need
new, bigger TVs as ours are pretty old. What a shame that would be! Not!

The only complaints I have had with YTTV is
that we don't get MASN, but do get Monumental Sports (Yay Caps!) and they dropped MLB Network many moons ago. Otherwise, it's got just about every sports channel you would want, as well as a couple I use in emergencies for US Men's Soccer when they are on a weird streaming service, but the spanish broadcast is available. If I can't get it on YTTV, it's on a specific streaming service you wouldn't get with a cable package anyways.

you can subscribe to masn via mlb app so you can get it, although more $

The usual way, they charged more money. Only thing I watch on TV is sports
Mostly VT and Commanders. If I can get ESPN and ACCN and OTA, I'm good.

Wouldn't it be great if you could, say, just get the Commanders for
5 bucks a game, on demand, and trash all of the rest of the stuff? I hope we evolve to that someday. I just want to watch ONE thing, can't I just pay for ONE thing?

I use YTTV
I added the 4K package - only use the 4K a few times, but I use it more for unlimited devices on home wifi (mainly for Sunday when I rig it to have pretty much all the NFL games going w/out the package or when a network is showing regional coverage and I can make it work to get whichever one I want). It was a slight problem when they didn't have the local RSNs, but w/ the ACC going to CW for the Raycom games, it hasn't been a problem. They don't have MLB Network (wife is a baseball fan, so it is a little bit of a problem). Unlimited DVR for 9 months... I haven't had FUBO so not sure on that end.

I grabbed MLB at-Bat for half price around Mother's day weekend. Like 3/4
of the season for half-price. That was a better idea when I thought the Braves might actually do something this year, but my son likes watching random games.

Haven’t heard of that. What’s that?
