today's earworm is a hit performed by
a group that was originally formed as a hardcore punk band, had their debut album hit #2 on the R&B album chart, earned Grammy awards for best alternative music album and best pop instrumental album, and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a rap group. They also briefly published a magazine credited by the Oxford English Dictionary as containing the first published use of the word "mullet." Name that band.

Indeed
The song on repeat in my head this morning is "Intergalactic," though I've also had these two lines from "High Plains Drifter" popping up frequently: "I'm doing 120 plowin' over mailboxes, radar detector to show me where the cops is."
