Anyone here into coin collecting that would know of a good website
to get a pretty close idea of what specific coins would be purchased for at a coin dealer? Seems to be a lot of variance in pricing between the sites and sometimes hard to tell what a coin shop might actually pay for a coin vs the my coin is worth $$ prices that no coin shop would pay.

Right now, outside of a few extremely rare and error type coins, melt value is where it's at. For normal coins, even those like 150 years old, the have to be in uncirculated condition to exceed melt value.

Type in the information about your coin and see
what price comes up. Coins can be sold at auction or by an asking price.

inherited a small collection from my dear Dad , mostly older proof sets, roll of buffalo head nickels, some bullion silver dollars etc....i just googled em for a rough idea
