I asked it to tell me a story of what would’ve happened if Steph had come to Tech. Once upon a time, there was a young man named Steph Curry who was a highly sought after basketball prospect. He had grown up in a basketball family and had developed into one of the best shooters in the country. Despite interest from several top basketball programs, he ultimately decided to continue his career at Virginia Tech. When Steph arrived in Blacksburg, he immediately made an impact on the Hokies basketball program. His incredible shooting range and ability to score from anywhere on the court made him a fan favorite and helped Virginia Tech become a force to be reckoned with in the ACC. With Steph leading the way, the Hokies made it to the NCAA tournament in his first season and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. The following year, they made it even further, reaching the Elite Eight. Steph's star continued to rise, and he was soon regarded as one of the best players in college basketball. His junior year, Virginia Tech made it to the Final Four for the first time in school history. In the national championship game, Steph put on a shooting clinic, hitting eight three-pointers and scoring 32 points to lead the Hokies to their first-ever national championship. After winning the national championship, Steph declared for the NBA draft and was selected as the first overall pick. He went on to have a remarkable professional career, becoming a two-time MVP and leading the Golden State Warriors to several NBA championships. Years later, when Steph returned to Virginia Tech for a ceremony honoring the 10th anniversary of their national championship team, he was greeted with a hero's welcome. The Hokies' fans and alumni were grateful for the memories he had created and the impact he had had on their basketball program. And so, the story of Steph Curry and Virginia Tech became a timeless tale of a young man who took a chance on a new school and ended up leaving a lasting legacy.
