Procure the services of “a guy”.

Go to a small Tuscan village. Pay tribute to the village elder. Dine with his family. Drink heartedly and be a clever conversationalist. Endear yourself to “the family”. Mention your trip and accept his offer of “a guy”. The “guy” will drive you through any place in Italy with no regard for traffic laws. He will advance you to the front of any tourist attraction or sight. He’ll scare off beggars and thieves with a glance. Your “guy” will set you up in the finest out-of-the-way boutique hotels and get you reservations at the best restaurants…all on his boss’ dime.
