I graduated from high school the same year
I went to a very large high school in Central Florida and then went to VT. Funny enough my office is about 2.5 miles from where I went to high school. I am still close with several of my high school friends. I have been a member of this message board for a very long time but due to where I live I do not really keep in touch with people I went to VT with. I am actually glad I went to VT when I did because I don't think I could afford it now. I would probably go to UF or UCF now even though I am not a fan of Gator sports. Back in 1989 you could go out of state to VT and it was much more affordable than it is now.
Very happy we did not have social media or Iphones in 1989! Here's to the Class of 89!
