We were unable to find any house rentals near Lexington. Perhaps because

it's just not a popular option, but for us (myself, 3 former roommates and some of our kids) it was the ideal location because one has a daughter at JMU and another has a son at VT. They both attended our annual reunions in the past, so hey, split the distance and have both of them join us for the weekend in Lexington (or nearby).

Just no appropriate houses to rent in that area, it seemed.
