I have been stuck in the traffic jam this thing causes a few times, but I have never actually been to the event. For those unaware, we have one main road here. One. And when you want to have an event here - a gigantic one, nonetheless - unless you have business at said event, you might as well stay home. You are going nowhere. Feeling chest pain? Suck it up buttercup. No ambulance is coming. Have a bourbon and try to calm down. So I decided to go to this thing, see what all the hubbub was about. Normally, I'm just "too busy", doing very important things - like reading the lounge... My flea market excursion is ho hum stuff for loungers, I know. But possibly of interest, I did pass Jimmy Johnson (the football, not NASCAR variety). He lives very close to the event, and it is not unusual to see him around. So when I saw him coming, I quickly said, "JJ!", then I gave him a big elbow and yelled, "Go Hokies!!!". No, I did not do that, ha. But I did notice how old he was, and how he was hobbling a bit. And seeing him, I kind of did a self check, and noticed...shoot...yeah, I'm the same. When the hell did this happen? Aaah, life goes on. Old age creeps up on you, for sure. Life may not be as good as it was, but it is still good. Had a great day, hope for a few more. Get out there and do stuff!
