I still look like a Leper or something. She said I had pre-cancerous sun damage all over my face and asked if I wanted to burn it off? Precancerous, you say? Uhhh...who is saying no to that? So she trots out a spray can of dry ice or something, and goes to town. I feel like my entire face is on fire, but I'm cool with it. I don't want cancer. She said it was going to leave red spots temporarily - was I good with that? OK, I'm an overweight 65 year old - I'm not exactly easy on the eyes already, so who cares? Let it rip, I say. But I wasn't ready for the reactions when I am out and about, like at the grocery store. People get a load of my face and give me a wide berth. Mothers grab their child's hand and quickly usher them away. I'm a freak, I tellya. And by the looks of things, I'm guessing this could last a month. Should I put a "I'm not contagious" sign on me somewhere? Or stagger up close to people, shake and drool? Next life kids, don't ask for blond hair and blue eyes...or make sure you buy yourself a big straw hat.
