Firearm enthusiasts: Why is some ammo so hard to find?
I'm relatively new to gun ownership but I like to shoot 9mm 124gr FMJ, usually from Sellier & Bellot. And I can't find 124gr anywhere. Even the places that list it cancel my order soon after I place it. But there seems to be a lot of 115gr S&B. Why? What is it about 124gr that makes it so rare? My son and I are headed to the range today to try out new ammo to see if we can find a more easily available replacement that is reliable.
