filling out tax forms for summer job for 16-year-old

My oldest child (don't even think about shun) is working her first job this summer that will withhold taxes. What's the best way to fill this thing out? Standard teenager, she's a dependent of my wife and I when we file our taxes. she'll make maybe $2500 this summer working as a camp counselor. She's got some other gigs throughout the year but will earn at most $3500 over the 2025 tax year...

While it is not specifically your question, see if you can talk her into

It wouldn't suck if she threw $1K into a Roth now.**

Even as young adults it's sound advice. I tell me kids to max out Roth

Yes, putting money into a Roth when young is a great idea

Especially since they won't be paying taxes on what they'll earn...

Tremendous advice. I've had my daughter do it for a couple of years.
