Coworker told me about the Billows fan from ThermoWorks. It's $80 and also needs some kind of "brains" module to control it (sold separately of course). My first smoker was Akorn from Lowes but upgraded to Vision a year ago. I find the Vision to be more responsive to vent adjustments but I still get on roller coaster more often than I'd like. Reviews of Billows are great and seem to solve the problem of constantly adjusting the vents. We use the smoker about every other month so I think we'd get our money's worth if it works well.
