What a day...

The aforementioned bike ride this morning...riding an endorphin high until noon then...crashed. Rest of the day has been like I'm wide awake but yawning. Good use of a day though when it's 99 (real temp) outside, my new credit cards showed up, so, cool, I'm connected back up to the real world again, spent some time updating my automatic payments. What have I forgotten? Likewise, my every four month delivery from from Amazon showed up, case of Cento sardines (25 ct) case of Nuun hydration stuff, Vit D canister, dishwashing stuff. Way ahead on the Nuun rehydration stuff, but using a lot now with sports activities on warm days. Yeah, I know, I'm ten years behind everyone on mobile payments, but made my first three ever today. Not decided on whether that's more convenient than pulling a card out of a wallet but sure, do it a few times and see how I feel about it. On the other hand, if I had known how it works, I wouldn't have been without the ability to use them these past few days. One interesting thing, got two new credit cards, one has the old strip where you sign your name and the CVV code printed on the strip, the other card does not have the signature strip and the CVV code is embossed in the card itself. Is this a new format? If so, how did two cards being sent at the same time from the same place (despite being branded differently) end up being different? Bonvoy still had a stack of the old ones lying around? Different level cards? Weird. Made some keys for a lock set I'm going to install at my dad's house, four more of them, Home Despot had a little kiosk that I've never seen before that automates key making: a minute a key. No more trying to find the one guy in the entire building who knows how to make keys and may not in fact be in that day. Anyone want any Basil? My plants seem to be intent on bolting, like throwing a couple more leaves out without growing any more stems. And most strangely, there's a big box out on the sidewalk in front of my townhouse, the box looks really weather beaten like it had been left out in the rain, big hole in the side but inside stuff is nicely wrapped up in plastic, an umbrella set presumably for use on a deck. It wasn't there ~ 4pm. It's clearly abandoned in my book, not that I really wanted/needed one, the deck in the back is completely covered in shadow by ~ 3pm but sometimes things happen for a reason. Leave it out some tomorrow see if someone claims it? It clearly looks unloved, just lying there at an angle with a big hole in it. Update 6/23/24 umbrella materials sans box now lying in neighbors front steps. Lots of paper scraps lying around though. ** Edited by `lag at 6/23/2024, 7:16:38 AM
