The manager asked why. I told him interest rates. I was getting some ridiculous sub 1% rate which was consistent with their current rate sheet. I told them my other bank was paying 4.5%. The manager asked me what rate I’d like. I told him 5%. This is a money market acct. He asked if he could check and get back with me later in the day. Sure enough, he called me back later that day and told me 5% works and he threw in a free 5x10 safety deposit box at no cost. I’m go to my other bank and ask for 5.5%. Lol
