Not when you factor in the continuation of the play and whether the player,

who committed the infraction, benefitted from the advantage or not. In American football, if Corey Moore lined up in the neutral zone prior to the snap of the ball and he sacked the QB on that play, then did Moore gain an unfair advantage on that play by being offsides?
