In terms of Water Volume: #1 Mississippi, #2 St. Lawrence, #3 Ohio, #4

Columbia, and #5 Yukon. Maximum Depth Ranking (Deepest Point): #1 St. Lawrence (250'), #2 Hudson (216'), #3 Mississippi (200'), and #4 Ohio (167'). Where do the others fall? The longest western rivers are incredibly shallow by comparison. The Missouri River averages only 10 to 20 feet deep in many channels, and the Yukon River averages only about 30 to 60 feet deep.
