When State Farm started utilizing them, they had to advise all neighbors
they were activating the drone. And it had software which restricted the drone to only the airspace above the insured’s property. It would create all sorts of questions and issues.
Not sure how much they utilize it anymore.
I do think there’s vendors that the contract with who do the drone work.
I do think it’s not as restrictive anymore.
State Farm was involved, and still is, with the Virginia Tech drone park. One of the original groups working with VT.
