ding, ding, ding, correct!
Tris Speaker had 449 outfield assists between 1907 and 1928, or about one per week throughout his career. It makes me wonder why so many baserunners continued to test TS’s arm. Coupling all those assists with a .345 career batting average (#11 all time), and TS was one of the best ever.
