I'm not disputing that.
I worked in the coal industry for 15 years. I've just never grouped natural gas with oil. We always looked at them separately. I have no doubt though that they campaigned/lobbied against all other sources though, one for competitive sake, and two to distract from their own issues. Just never occurred to me personally that they'd have the full petroleum industry backing them.
