Here is a partial list ...

1. On day ONE the administration implemented multiple changes aimed at the hurting the fossil fuel industry. They keep squawking about 9000 unused leases but they never mention that the additional restrictions they placed on new drilling makes it financially untenable for oil and gas companies to take advantage of them. I have seen/read interviews with multiple oil executives who have said they have been completely handcuffed when it comes to producing more oil. One said 'my shareholders would fire me if I tried to drill on any of those leases. 2. Approvals from the energy department that took less than three months prior to 2021 are taking a year or longer and many have yet to be approved. No more drilling on federal lands and bans on much offshore drilling near Alaska. 3. Also on day one they cancelled the Keystone pipeline (and some others) despite the energy secretary saying on TV that pipelines are the cleanest and most efficient means of transporting fuel. This was done 100% to appease those that paid to get them there. 4. They have done everything possible to kill the coal industry rather than figure out ways to make it less harmful to the environment and continue to leverage that resource. 5. Rather than lift some of these restrictions to allow US oil producers to increase production in a reasonable way, they are reaching out to Russia, Iran, Venezuela, and Saudi Arabia. Someone please explain to me how using their dirtier oil and shipping it across the ocean and paying more for it is better for the environment than allowing US oil companies to produce more here. It is simply because they are trying to appease the same people who demanded all of these changes on day one. There are more - plenty of articles from good sources that quote the people who can't currently produce the oil they want to rather than articles parroting the same people making these decisions And again, I am not one who doesn't believe the climate is an issue. I do ... I just think these decisions were made in a vacuum to appease people who aren't scientists or economists and we are ALL paying the price for it right now.
