have a pin number on allowing your phone number to be ported out...

If scammers can convince the phone company they're you and port your telephone number to one of their devices then they can get by the 2FA authentication, in fact the second factor becomes the hole, eg, reset passwords to your accounts b/c they send the security number to their phone instead of yours.. Pretty easy just go to your service provider and it will be somewhere in there on the website. ** Edited by `lag at 2/13/2026, 9:17:57 AM
