I understand and empathize with the anger

but a land grant institution's mission is to educate ALL of the state. It's kind of ironic, I know several people from NOVA that are very big into DEI (no judgement here either way) but they scream and yell about the county/high school quotas at VT that "discriminated" against their child - without realizing it is just another form of DEI to include all students from all state localities/backgrounds - versus churning out another well qualified NOVA suburbanite.
