It is about....

more $$$ for playing less golf. However, there is probably at least a piece of truth to the other in that it matters little, if any, how they actually play in terms of the money. DJ is a star as is Phil, Gumbo and Reed to a lesser extent, however, none of the four would be considered a top competitive threat at the present nor is there future performance a more likely than not upward trend against the present PGA tour elite. Sheffler said it right, DJ is the only one who is a noticeable miss and none of the additional names being speculated, including the caretaker of the General Lee, would seem to move that needle either. I do not begrudge them taking the money or doing what they think is best for them but, when you pray for rain you best be prepared to deal with the mud(proper credit to Denzel Washington).
