Have you looked at roof shingles that generate power?

You get a semi-normal (but shiny) looking roof instead of having large solar panels installed. The cost is higher, but I don't think they drill holes in your roof. As for the "regular" solar panels, would rather have them in my yard than mounted on my roof.
