Welp...now I'm in the market for a new car.

The car needs a new transmission ($4500). Nope. No chance. It's 20 years old with 155k miles. So I'm using the money to buy a new car instead of paying off the house next year. Sucks because I wanted to eliminate that payment and was hoping the car would hang in there for a few more years so I could then save up to buy a new one. I guess I'll be doing it in reverse order. Oh well, it could be worse. The transmission could have died on the way to the RDU Airport next week. That would have been a real mess.
