This is true but they also require more adherence to regular maintenance...
...intervals than naturally-aspirated engines. Turbos accelerate the breakdown of engine oil, and because the turbo also increases compression, the compound effect is that as the oil breaks down, the stress and wear on engine components accelerates, too.
