When you say the reservoir, are you talking about the overflow...

...reservoir? Wouldn't think it was the cause of your overheating. I would keep an eye on the temp gauge. I wonder if you have an overheating issue, or a temp indication issue. I would expect the temperature to stay higher without quickly returning to normal. Can you monitor the temp through the OBD II port?
