Definitely a long climb for USMNT to be where they are

I whined last night that the team hasn't made any real progress since the 2022 World Cup. After a bit more rest and reflection, I will concede that it's hard to determine whether or not that's true based on very recent results. The blowout friendly loss to Colombia is somewhat balanced by the draw against Brazil. Failure to move past the group stage at Copa America stinks, but the overall even goal differential suggests that we weren't too far off the mark. I guess the frustrating thing for those of us who care is that we don't really know one way or another. And now we can only wait until the autumn friendlies before we have another opportunity to jump to any further conclusions.
