But for accreditation purposes, transfer purposes, NCAA eligibility purposes, and other purposes I'm sure I haven't even thought about, you would think there needs to be some measure of consistency across institutions. Looking at my son's case, he did 3 - 4 credit courses and 1 - 2 credit course each semester. 28 credits. But if those 4 credits are counted as 3 credits at another place, that would be 22 credits. That's a huge difference. I guess maybe there's something I'm missing in this whole deal.
